The Casaroli gang

Paolo Casaroli, who specialized in bank robberies, was one of the most notorious criminals of the 1950s. On 16 December 1950, leading a gang of nine men, he robbed a bank in Bologna, killing the manager and a security guard. Sentenced to life imprisonment, he was released on probation for good conduct, on 2 March. He died of a heart attack in March 1993.
