Fakes

The objects exhibited in this room are notable examples of fake artworks: paintings and lithographs “signed” by Guttuso, Monachesi, De Chirico, Mafai, Dalì, Cascella, Fantuzzi and others; sculptures; coins; and archaeological finds. The other objects exhibited are connected with fraud and forgery of documents and were seized in various cities (Naples, Milan, Rome etc.) together with the tools used to produce them.
